Next up in our Meet the Team series is Sarah Shaw, Associate Director - Head of Media Practice!
What’s your role at Bluestripe Group?
As an Associate Director on the PR team, no two days are the same.
I’m the senior lead across a number of client accounts in the adtech and media space, working closely with clients on strategy and direction while supporting our managers and executives to deliver PR plans and campaigns day to day.
Alongside client work, I also play a broader role across the agency, supporting new business, training, culture, client services, and marketing, while working closely with the founders and other Associate Directors to help drive the business forward.
What drew you to PR/content/events/sales?
To be honest, I was fresh out of uni, and PR just sounded like a cool industry to be a part of. But once I started working in it, I realised how much it suited me. I’ve always been a people person and enjoy the variety that comes with the job.
How do you stay on top of trends in media, advertising and technology?
I’m always reading key trade titles, industry newsletters, and LinkedIn to stay up to date on what’s happening across media, advertising, and technology. The industry moves incredibly quickly, so staying close to the daily conversation is key.
What tool or hack can you not live without at work?
A very organised to-do list and an unhealthy amount of tabs open at all times!
What’s a random skill or hobby you have that would surprise us?
Thanks to years in PR, and a former manager who drilled it into me early on, I can spot a typo from a mile away.
